When was the last time you stepped outside and stared into the vastness of our galaxy, pondering the stars, letting your mind drift into the mysteries and wonders of life?
Too often we forget. We get caught up in the programmed entertainment, distracted by the drama’s, our small bubble of needs and wants and miss out on the expansive universe in the heavens. Our lives are unfolding along with the universe. Here and now is the only real moment we get. Too many of us are missing out on the stars, and ourselves.
Take some time to ponder the stars, and ponder You. Those seemingly small specs of light just might open you up to realizations you may never know otherwise. The rays of light that meet your eyes have traveled light years, quite possibly just for you in that moment. Don’t miss out.
Ralph Waldo Emerson once asked what we would do if the stars only came out once every thousand years. No one would sleep that night, of course. The world would become religious overnight. We would be ecstatic, delirious, made rapturous by the glory of God. Instead the stars come out every night, and we watch television.
